Considered as the centre of Strasbourg, it's bordered by the Aubette on the north side, and numerous cultural events take place on it.
The most famous and well-known event is the Christmas Market, illuminated by a mighty Christmas fir tree every year, from the end of November. This place is surrounded by shops, and monuments like General Kléber's Statue, a glorious man from the city.
